WISH EVERYONE A WONDERFUL & SUCCESSFUL YEAR

Happy New Year to everyone.   Hopefully, 2011 will bring us happiness, success and wisdom.  May there be love, peace and safety wherever we are.  Yes, pupils hopefully are more interested in studying and put in a lot of effort to achieve excellent results.  We hope there is better cooperation among us in bringing results especially in the government examination; UPSR and other school based exams. 

Hopefully too, there is better awareness among teachers and pupils on the importance of the English Language although English is no longer going to be used in the teaching of Mathematics and Science in some classes.  When we see the sorry state of the new breed of graduates' poor command of English and many university students having problems in studying and doing references , we feel worried about our pupils.  There is not much time spent in school for the teaching and learning of English, so let's hope each English lesson is golden time.  

To all the wonderful teachers, here's wishing you good health as health is very important for our mind and body.  Thus, a happy and healthy teacher will be able to perform better.  

Thanks for the co-operation and sincere efforts shown in 2011 which brought us a number of successful events.  May we achieve better results that we can be proud of together.

ICT for SK Selama Teachers and Pupils

Hopefully, 2012 will bring us new hope and success .  So, let's welcome this new year cheerfully and warmly. .  We cannot deny that ICT has influenced us a lot either personally or for our work, study and socially.  However, how effective it is to the whole school as an organization towards SMART SCHOOL system, we can evaluate it ourselves and still improve if we wish to achieve its highest status and standard . Firstly, we have to check ourselves to see how good we are in  ICT knowledge. 

Having taught in this particular school which is my second home, I have always dreamed it to be fully a SMART SCHOOL by this time.  No doubt there have been drastic changes but it isn't enough.  Are we truly applying ICT in our administration, communicating to teachers, pupils and parents firstly and to the public effectively?  I guess, we are on the right track and I hope by the year 2015 when we become one of the Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi, our ICT facilities are sufficient and functioning well.  In this way, all teachers can use ICT and multi-media in teaching the many subjects.  Pupils are more interested and understand better when ICT is used. 

It is very sad that the full time ICT technician in the CiTAKU Lab was posted here for only a year and now, it could not function as it is supposed to be.  Though we can agree it is a failed project , we are lucky in the sense that we can still use the digital lab.  Hopefully, pupils and teachers can go online easily there.

6.  Pn Siti Khairunnisa' Bt Khairuddin - Yr 1 Pintar & Yr 1 Cerdas
7.  Pn Adlin Deniel - Yr 2 Cerdas

WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL

 Our English Panel welcomes Encik Awang Mansor Bin Saidin to our school.  He has just got transferred from SK Toh Rakna Sakti.  Encik Awang, a talented person will be teaching English in Year 3 Maju , 3 Pintar and Year 6 Bestari.  We hope Encik Awang will be happy teaching the pupils and working here.  

 

We also welcome another new teacher who has been transferred from SK Bagan Baharu; Puan Zarinazatul Haznida Bt Samsudin.  She who is a music teacher too will be teaching Year 1 Bahasa Melayu and is the class teacher of Year 1 Cerdas.  We wish her , "Happy Teaching" in our school.

 PN HJH NORAISHAH IS TRANSFFERED TO SK BANGGOL JAS .  WE THANK HER AND APPRECIATE ALL HER CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR SCHOOL

We express our thanks and appreciation to Pn Hjh Noraishah Bt Abdul Hamid who had taught in our school for 8 years and now has been transferred to SK Banggol Jas as its new preschool teacher.  Our school has lost another good and talented teacher.  We wish Pn Hjh Noraishah all the best in her new school. 

New Blog , New Hope

After creating this new English Blog , it is hoped that the pupils of this school can check it out so that they will not miss any information or notes given to help them learn English.  Pupils should spend more time working on English exercises instead of wasting much of their time playing computer games or going online on Facebook. 

Pupils and teachers can click on the buttons such as Poems For Teachers or Poems For Kids to read the poems .  More sections will be created soon e.g. Exercises on Grammar and Test Papers which are useful for practices.  

Links to interesting and useful websites are provided in this blog.  Soon, more links to other Teachers' English Blogs will be created.  

As the administrator of this blog , I hope that the teachers in this school especially can contribute quality materials to be uploaded in this blog to help in the teaching and learning of English.
