Participation in the co-academic English Language activities is one of the ways, pupils can improve their English proficiency, gain self confidence and thus love the language and become more interested in learning it well. The excellent achievement of the SK Selama pupils this year in the English Carnival 2011 is a credit to its wonderful teachers and pupils. We hope to achieve excellence and glory both in the academic and extra co-curricular activities.
It takes dedication, devotion and strong determination and efforts to achieve the goals we dream of. Motivation is self-driven and each teacher and pupil who wish to achieve success must be confident and persevere on with courage till success is attained. By the end of the day, besides achieving excellent results in English tests, it is hoped that pupils can speak in English confidently and fluently. Are we going on the right track if pupils cannot express themselves in English and show no interests in reading English reading books? What can we be proud of if pupils leave the school without being able to write compositions without grammatical errors? Actually, we still have a long way to go and there is no time to waste as time and tide wait for no man.
